Lobbying

WSL maintains a student lobby corps dedicated to advancing our legislative agenda in the Wisconsin State Legislature. Corps members are trained by professionals every August and participate in skills-building workshops throughout the year.

The legislative agenda on which WSL advocates will be approved annually in October. All WSL membership debates and approves the agenda, which is then carried out by our three standing committees (research, outreach, and legislative affairs), the executive board and staff.

Speakers Bureau

A group of student speakers assists in educating the university community and broader public on the mission and activities of WSL and how different constituencies can get involved in our efforts. We aim to shed a critical light on the unique challenges that UW-Madison students face and how WSL will take these on in the coming years.
